We have been working to clear and level this area for a playground. There will be a 30' by 54' multi-use court. For now it will be packed dirt and used for volleyball, football (soccer), and with a little funding for the goals, basketball.
Future plans include a concrete surface and a shade covering. Pickle ball will be added to the usage and visiting mission teams and Reset Ridge visitors can take advantage of the playground.
There will be enough property left over for a small house for the local teachers to stay during the week or full-time.
This piece of property, along with the Project RUTH facilities property, was donated by a local resident, Ramon Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez wanted to help with improvements to benefit his fellow La Floridians. Because of his generosity his community has a medical clinic, church/community center, a future dental clinic, and now a playground.
Provide a safe, healthy environment for youth and adults to gather, and strengthen family bonds.
One of the functions for the court will be for playing pickle ball.
